RD Closure error - Withdrawal amount exceeds the difference between the principal and lien amount in DOP Finacle

• When an RD account is closed we get the error sometimes as " Withdrawal amount exceeds the difference between the principal and lien amount " 
• The screen shot of the above error is attached below

Root Cause of the problem:- 

• The above problem arises when RD loan principal amount is fully paid before migration i..e., If the loan account is opened before migration ( in Sanchay Post) and the loan amount is fully paid in sanchay post.
• In this case Loan account number will not be generated during migration but for loan interest LIEN will be marked for the corresponding RD account.

Solution for the above problem

• Before closing the RD account LIEN should be removed by invoking the menu HALM.
• Invoke the menu HALM and select the function as modify, enter the account number and modify the LIEN amount to 0(zero) submit the transaction.
• Charge the amount in RD loan interest in the cash account.
• Verify the same in the supervisor using the menu HALM.
• Charge the LIEN amount as RD loan interest in the SB cash.
